Are lens protection covers really good?

Cuz I had one on my s 23 ultra for 2 yrs and it seems to have scratches when one fell of.. by itself. So shall I add a new one or .. is it okay without it..

No, it will damage Camera body (around lens area). Just use Phone case which have a extra layer near Camara cutout. Like Spigen , Caseology or ESR.
