Its been a few years that i have been using samsung mobiles. At first i was a samsung hater even though i had never used a single device of samsung. I had heard the phones were laggy and were plastic and nothing else.
But then things changed. My mother bought Grand 2, which i was not in the favour of. I used it for a month and the next month i brought one for myself. I used it to take great pictures, to run high end games and for almost everything.
Eventually it got old and started having problems (which is inevitable with any phone).
I knew it was time to go for a new one. It was S5! I got more features, I got my previous data using samsung accounts. I fell in love with the UI samsung provided even though it lagged (rarely). Again came the time to part ways with my mobile (almost after 2 years).
Then came S7. A masterpiece for me!! The looks were amazing! The features that samsung gave better than any others. The camera was the greatest i experienced. The performance of the phone jaw dropping. UI seemed to seamless. Friends felt jealous. One of the greatest display. Water resistant.
The point is i think samsung is the best!
Guys i understand your troubles about the oreo update. I personally am a bit frustrated too. But just because the updates aren't on time doesn't mean the device is entirely useless. The only thing the update will do is improve your UI, performance (by a bit), give you bixby and some more features; your phone won't be changing. It won't go from S7 to S9.
Even if you recieve the update you will notice the difference only for sometime, later on you will get used to it making no difference.
I have friends having oneplus 5t and LG V20. But none gave me the warmth of samsung. they dont have good UI first of all. They dont have services like samsung does (example: samsung members). Their displays aren't even a close match for S7. I agree that 5t is slightly more powerful but only slightly. The camera still on S7 is better. Also the oneplus releases its new devices within half a year taking down their own top model! V20 has great camera features especially its camera app is more geeky but S7 has better low light performance. All in all S7 is a compact monster.
So stop troubling yourselves over updates because you should be proud that you own a beast. And i know you are!!
