In my previously used xiaomi phones, the call logs in it's native miui dialer was unlimited.

It's such a great and hugely useful feature for me to dig up years back calling log, which I'm missing in s23 ultra.

But, in my s23 ultra, being an ultra phone, it's only keeping nearly 3 months old call logs only. How can i keep as much as possible call logs in samsung dialer?

that's because, you have either deleted manually the system dialer history or cleared all appdata of the system dialer recently.

The past logs has been captured by Truecaller in the current device already via local system in the past, shall remain in that app local storage until you clear Truecaller app data.

Have you started using the current device or formatted the whole phone for a fresh start from 14 oct 2022 ?
And, what about the older logs earlier than 14 oct 2022 ? I'm sure it's not getting retrieved into the Truecaller automatically untill system serves it to the Truecaller app.

Whenever you want...I can show it to you . I have been using my second daily driver xiaomi 12 pro...and I have call logs from 2019 or more years before too. I have been using xiaomi devices from 2015. I even tried to restore call logs backup from my other device to s24 ultra which was in number 161000 something. It only retained till December 2024. Do you want any type of proof my friend. And for your deal, you will lose badly dear and you will not be ready for your own deal after I prove you wrong...Good Day...

Hey @Amg7, you have already explained youself as a b*nehead, no need to repeat.

you can just go out to anyone around, who is using a xiaomi phone with miui dialer installed and see that yourself at ease.

If not I'll share the screenshot and can show you live in video call too.

For the deal, it's on.

@matinsarkar297 you should blur the visible phone numbers while posting in public

backup standpoint, thats fine. But within dialer I've currently some thousands of items and as soon as each new log entry happens, from the bottom like 3 months back most oldest log vanishes automatically.

Really old logs, even if it is in backup, won't show up within samsung dialer and in-dialer search results

So what are you saying now
You were crying out so loud, that samsung can't store more than 500 call logs..so what's now?

@Amg7 you need to really understand the whole scenario which has been explained tons of times in the thread, before making your cryb*by comments again.

The call logs entity timeline is slightly different for everyone in samsung depending upon the usage and day to day log generation. But, there's a limitation in Samsung dialer. I've around 3 months old log only which surplus 2k limit. And with new logs, it gets replaced with the oldest most data.

Samsung dialer still can't hold long term unlimited logs or retrieve it from backups beyond the given limit whatsoever. That's the whole point of my thread.

Poco F1 phone has unlimited call history support.

Also the recent xioami phones have got Google dialer replaced instead of MIUI dialer. So in Google dialer also that limitation of timeline exists
