In my previously used xiaomi phones, the call logs in it's native miui dialer was unlimited.

It's such a great and hugely useful feature for me to dig up years back calling log, which I'm missing in s23 ultra.

But, in my s23 ultra, being an ultra phone, it's only keeping nearly 3 months old call logs only. How can i keep as much as possible call logs in samsung dialer?

it's the software limitation from samsung's side. no defect whatsoever. I've cross checked with same other units

You might not be aware of other brands UI's feature. Xiaomi's any device like low end Redmi Note 4 to Poco F1 they all were running on MIUI and tehre was unlimited call logs recording.

@amg7 Bro.. this is genuine problem. We are coming for a solution not just nonsense.
Even in my earlier M31 I had a much much larger Call. Now it is very limited.

in xiaomi, it's even taken one step further with full log backup restoration, even if you change your device, your previous and previous to previous device all call logs will be always synced and shall be present on the current device dialer history right at your fingertips.

On the other hand, Samsung can't even use those long term log backup to show within their dialer app after certain entries. So, its practically unusable in samsung devices, even if you have backed up logs. How do you dig up the history or search items if the dialer can't hold beyond a small limit.

Samsung should learn what is called a truly worthy feature, unless in the name of gimmicky one ui

@arnab_dt Excuse me, do you really own a Samsung device. If so you won't be such an idi*t.
Go to your settings
Accounts
Backup
You can backup everything from calls message app history app settings system settings every single thing on cloud.

@Amg7 excuse me, i don't know if you ever used any samsung ultra phone or aware of the capabilities of the power of Android.

Don't be a m*r*n by just forcefully replying anything without proper info and knowledge.

For your information, I'm using s23 ultra, and i don't need iphone. I can prove you my point. You just buy my two weeks old s23 ultra from me as per purchased price.

On the call backup point, backup can be done using any cloud services or local backup files, but if the Samsung dialer is incapable to hold more than 2000 or whatever limited entities, then whats the point of retrieving backup logs. Samsung Dialer can't handle it and it can't show me years back call log history within the dialer search.

Hey m*r*n
I am asking you to show a proof that your xiaomi holds more than 500 calls in its native miui dailer.
If you prove i will buy your phone and pay your extra 10k.
Else you give me your phone for free
Deal?

Anyway i am using samsung galaxy s23 ultra 512gb cream colour and s20 plus 256gb both on one ui 5.1
And I am using samsung from s2 and have nearly used 18 samsung flagship s2,s3,s4,s5,s6,s6 edge,s6edge plus,s7,s7 plus,s8,s9plus,s20plus,s23ultra..note 1 2 3 4 5 10plus. Other than this i have used oneplus 7pro, oneplus 11. So don't teach me the power of Android.
If ios then have used iphone x ,12,13pro.

And if you are regularly backing up you can store every single call on cloud
On dailer only 500 calls can be done

Just prove me wrong
And I am ready for the deal

good to see that but, it still doesn't solve the purpose at the end.

As, user wise, whose generated logs are high day to day has still short term & limited time history available in the Samsung dialer. Forget about retrieving old logs from backups to showcase within the Samsung dialer itself.

I use Truecaller, but have observed that, the Truecaller always pivots on the native or default dialer call log history only. It has the dependibiliy of what logs has been served to it by system apps.

For example, it doesn't show beyond the total logs holding by Samsung dialer in a samsung phone.

But in other xiaomi devices, as the miui dialer holds unlimited logs, the Truecaller also shows that anything from the deep past seamlessly.

In my case, 3-4 months old logs only touching the limit of max 2k or whatever the Samsung dialer holding capacity is. But at least, the entire current year or previous year log data i needed sometimes, which is so useful & timesaving for me at any given time to retrieve details most hassle-free way possible without any headache.
