I have shared my thoughts regarding the battery performance of theSamsung S24 Ultra a few times. It had been a while since I last tested it, so I decided to do it again yesterday. I wanted to see how the battery is working afterso many months of updates from Samsung and Google. What is the SOT (screen on time) and SOT (screen off time) combined for an average user?If we use a device without putting it on idle mode, it gives even better results, but when we put devices on idle mode, the SOT gives much different results.

I have seen some users claim that they get around5 hours of SOT only, or, in some cases,6 and a half hours of SOT asaverage users they get.

This was tested completely on a cellular network, in 5G mode. I always keep my device's QHD display enabled, Dolby Atmos enabled.
Also, keep in mind how the weather in India and random cellular coverage impact battery life. As we all witness during the rainy season, cellular networks struggle to provide a strong and stable network frequency, which drains the battery a lot.

And here is the end result.

Samsung S24 Ultra Battery Performance

The device is updated with the latest September security patch update. As you can see, 10 percent of the battery is still left. This means it can easily provide another 40 minutes to one hour of usage.

I used to play mobile games 4 or 5 years ago. Nowadays, I don't play games on mobile devices, so I don't have any idea what the SOT will be with gaming.

Your brother is also getting good SOT, better than 50-60 percent of people who have this device.

Most people get around six and a half hours.

People should not have updated their S24 Ultra to April's update and so on.

The march update had a completely different core, I could Se and feel on my phone that the smoothness of the software and the battery performance decreased instantly and never adapted or whatsoever Samsung is saying that it will adapt after the update. That was not true at all. Samsung promises his users magical Camera improvements within the new cooming updates. And the People just updates their phones. All their get is more damage to their beautifully initial worked phone by decreasing more or at most keeping the bad state of the performance battery and smothnes. That is a shame, but because Samsung did a great job of making the software look and customize so beautifully. But they are so greedy that they allready began to decrease the performance in S24 Ultra allready by the 3-rd update. How sick is that? To ruin their own work after 2 months having the S24 Ultra out on the market. Luckily I saved my phone got it to the march update again by downgrade it and now I can use it at its original performance. Remember people, in March Samsung has sold up to their target. Biggest sale of S24 Ultra was in March because there is where people talked about the phone everywhere on how good the phone is and how well it holdt in battery, and how snappy it was and so on. I Read everything on the internet and you wil see only sad people who from April's update lost their enthusiasm about their beloved phone. Bum, the battery dropped dramatically to 5 to 6 hours Screen On Time. It was From 10 to 11 wich was before the April's Update. SINCE April no update recovered back all the performance on battery and the smoothness of the phones interface. Yesterday I just updated the Device Care on my phone. Gues what? It eats more battery and it's geting hot on the upper left side of the screen where the cpu sits. I un-installed the newly installed Device Care and put back the last god I had before upgrading.. Gues what happened. I got again the lover voltage and consumption and no heating of the phon while watching YouTube,. Again how sick that is by Samsung? Luckily I backup all the apps, and system and non system when I have the best stand of the phone or before upgrading an app. . That way I can always get back to the most well calibrated app I have had before the new bad update. Keep in mind,  the phone is not yours unless you know what that phone is.

Bro, I respect your experiences. Everyone has the right to express their thoughts based on their own experiences. I understand and personally feel that some updates can work wonders for our devices, some in good ways and others in bad. However, at the same time, everyone expects balanced performance from their devices. Just improving battery life and screen-on time (SOT) alone doesn't make a device better. For example, I'm attaching a screenshot of the S24 Ultra with the March and April updates. Yes, SOT has decreased at times, but that can be managed with some tweaks. I am getting good SOT, even if it decreased by one or two hours; that does not matter to me. Now I am getting a balanced and better outcome.

The camera, visuals, transitions, and many other aspects have improved over time.

But thank you for sharing your experiences. Everyone's experience does matter. I will be more attentive with upcoming updates. 🙂1729566441773_1729566441766_0.jpg
