Hi All,

I have purchased S22 Ultra(Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 512GB, 12GB) variant. I haven't installed any games or any other heavy application but thenalso, everytime my system shows only 3-4GB free memory out of 12GB.
This is happening even if the phone is in idle state.

Can someone please help whether it's normal or there's some issue in my device.

Please note - I am using phone in optimised settings(RR-60Hz, Power Saver On etc).

Below are some screenshots.

It is normal. Why buy a phone with high configurations and then limit what it can do?

Your system will keep apps in memory until it runs out of free space. This is so that apps can be launched faster.

Don't bother about it. Just use the phone and let the system handle its own affairs. Believe me, it will do it better than you.

Okay sure.
Thanks a lot for replying. I was just worried because out of 12GB only 3-4GB is free all the time even if I am not using anything.
But yes your point is correct.

Mine is usually having only about 2 GB of free space with an extra 2 GB reserved by the system, i.e. about 8 GB is always in use.

Who told his point is correct they don't see real thing behind it they are normal users not a tech guru or power users this is phone with extra ram of 8 Gb for which you paid a money so that you can keep open more of apps in background instead of that unwanted Same-sung's android process and services running in the background that means you are paying for 8 gb ram and but ram you get to use it is a just 4gb ram while 6GB is more enough in phone's not running on android on the same you pay for 5000 mah battery so that all the process and service drain your battery what is this Same-Sung I am dam sure this 1 lack+Rupees phone also has bloat ware so total conclusion iPhone also cost the same then why they give less ram and battery capacity this is it they give less but what ever you get you can use consume it fully on practical while Samsung offers higher ram numbers battery capacity but you cannot use it but all this higher numbers are not cost them in expensive price or there are not interested to earn money just like Apple by giving low specification but good optimization no this is the thing make them different they target people with mindset that quantity is better than quality such 8gb ram with bloatware is bigger than 6gb ram without bloatware hence by adding bloatware they earned their profit by conclusions Same-Sung 8Gb ram 5000MAH battery with bloatwares is equal to the IPhone 6GB ram 4000MAH battery without bloatwares And profits on the both side is also equal that is what it is businesses

You "dam sure" have some punctuation symbols in that device, right?  Use them!  That mess was difficult to read!

Yes this is normal as Knox takes up memory and other background processes. Also you can enable 8 GB of RAM Plus Feature to get more memory if required
