Why Samsung? Why don't you provide DC Dimming even in your FLAGSHIP Smartphone?
What's wrong with you Samsung? Just tell me why are you playing with people's eyes.

-------------------------
My Personal Experience

AMOLED OR OLED screens utilize PWM dimming to alter screen brightness. Which can be really harmful for your eyes if they are sensitive.
I am using the Samsung galaxy s10+ from 2 months and experiencing serious eye strain and headache.

I dont understand why DC Dimming is not being provided by Samsung in their flagship phones, nor do they provide any reason why they are not working on it.

Their displays are proven to be the best but they are hiding something really important behind it, all other vendors are starting to push DC Dimming as a feature for those who are sensitive and then there's Samsung.

I wish I had read this thread before buying my S20 FE.  After an hour using my phone, I have to put a cold pack on my eyes.  My eyes are red, weepy, itchy and irritated and I have a low grade headache almost all day.

i also got s20 fe and have extrem eye strain, headache etc. i didnt know about PWM or DC Dimming before but i got to know via youtube an tested it with a slow mo camera myselfe. its really terrible on s20 fe even if you use 3rd party app to reduce brightness via software. anyway they lines are always visible....really bad in dark mode - grey areas.

i still have no solution except get rid of the phone and instead get one from OnePlus-/Xiaomi who over a dc-dimming on there oled screens OR PLEASE SAMSUNG OVER DC-DIMMING IN NEXT UPDATE. i wouldnt mind if colors go off.

the phone i used before was LG G6 an i thougt after 4 years of development in the smartphone industrie, specially samsung, would have a better technology. Dissappointing !!!

Just bought S21 Ultra and have eyestrain just after 5 minutes of using. And THIS IS FOR 1200$ phone!

I have also Xiaomi Redmi Note. 10 PRO and it has almost no flickering and I can use it all day long.

Samsung!! You must do update for your phones.

You're absolutely right. Samsung should provide it in his devices. I know this could reduce the screen qualty but willbe really helpful to us.

Yes dc dimming feature is best for eye's 👀📱

My S21 Fe 888 is otherwise an awesome phone, but the OLED PWM is really taking its toll on my eyes. I can't read anything on the phone for more than a few minutes before my eyes start watering quite a bit and a headache starts forming, which is something that doesn't happen on LCD displays without PWM. Some Android manufacturers such as OnePlus are already offering DC dimming as an optional feature, but I really wouldn't like to go there as the camera isn't as good and for security (both updates and how actual security feature are implemented) I trust Samsung way more than OnePlus and other Chinese manufacturers.
