Galaxy SI searched on the internet about the screen defect issues with S22 Ultra devices from other owners and found out that many are facing this issue, specially after May security patch update.
On July 3, 2024, I went to the nearest service center to get the replacement, and I was shocked to hear that the service center rejected my request for a free screen replacement. They said it will be chargeable. Why on earth should I pay for the defective screen? This is really absurd.
I called the Samsung service center and emailed the Samsung support team and Samsung Service head, but still no one is helping me. They say that the screen replacement program was till April 30, 2024. But what if the issue occurs after that? We people who are facing this problem after April 30, will have to pay for Samsung's mistake. I want to escalate this issue as it is unacceptable.
The green line issue is well known and Samsung has accepted that the defects are caused because of them. Many people (Even for out of warranty phones) have got 1 time free screen replacement for their devices earlier this year, and even I should get it.
I request all the people who are suffering from this and not getting any help from Samsung should raise their voice.
