Gemini, Google's AI assistant now provides the 2.0 Flash model to all users. Previously available in experimental mode, this LLM is now stable and can be accessed via the web app and the Android app.

The 2.0 Flash model enhances Flash 1.5 and Pro 1.5, offering faster performance, with certain benchmarks indicating a doubling of speed.
Gemini defined Flash 2.0 as the ideal model for daily tasks. When we inquired the AI about its benefits, the assistant highlighted enhanced performance, quicker time to first token (TTFT), multimodal understanding, coding capabilities, adeptness at following complex instructions, and functionality calling.
The service will also be available to paying Gemini Advanced users, who will keep their access to a 1M token context window, up to 1,500 pages of file uploads, and priority access to features like Deep Research and Gems.
Gemini 2.0 Flash is already the default model for new conversations, but Google confirmed it would keep 1.5 Flash and 1.5 Pro in existing ones for the next few weeks.
