After installing April 2020 OTA update, my phone is showing no network connection. Everything else on this phone is functioning excellent. Both SIM cards and IMEI are appropriately recognized. I have tried all kind of reset offered by phone but without any success. The last straw was to try hard (factory) reset, but no solution. I have research any possible discussion on the Net but none has solved my problem. It seems to me that the modem process or its driver have turned zombie.

Model: SM-G950FD
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Here is the result that was found at hard reset screen, which I have found very common after the android 9 update but I am not sure if just this courses my problem:

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

Please perform the below mentioned steps to resolve the issue:

1. Check device network mode settings
Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > network mode SIM1 or SIM2 > network mode.

2. Check network operator settings
Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network operators > Select automatically > OK > Registered on network.

Note: We recommend to set device network operators as LTE/3G/2G (auto connect) mode.

For further assistance, register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > click on “+“icon > send feedback > error report/ask questions).

Thank you for writing to Samsung.

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
