I’ve been experiencing a frustrating issue with my Galaxy S23 Ultra for the past 3 days. While using Instagram(specially while scrolling reels), the phone randomly hangs/freezes. Once it freezes, I’m completely locked out — the screen is stuck on Instagram, and no buttons respond.
The power/lock button doesn’t work, so I can't lock the screen.
Back/home gestures are unresponsive.
The only way to recover is to perform a hard restart .
This is happening consistently and only with Instagram so far. I’ve already cleared the app cache, but the issue persists.
I’m now unsure whether this is an Instagram app issue or something wrong with the phone/software itself.
Is anyone else facing this issue? Any suggestions or official fixes would be appreciated.
UPDATE: From couple of days I have not face this issue anymore.Not sure how this is fixed, but I have not done anything from my side. I will still wait and see if it is really fixed or not .
Yes Im Facing same issue 😣 Phone freezes and auto-restarts after watching 2-3 reels on Instagram. Tried reinstalling, clearing cache, updating software, but issue persists.
I encountered the same problem after updating to One UI 7, even after a factory reset. This only occurred with Instagram, and the only solution seemed to be a hard restart.
