I've owned the s10 lite for a couple of months, the fingerprint sensor has rarely worked and since the last update it refuses to work at all. Can only register 20% of any fingerprint! Tried resets and tests and just getting fobbed off. Any help? Waste of 500 quid otherwise.

I read abt this issue before buying S10lite. so I tried registering my fingerprint without screen guard. and then applied screen guard. it did not respond many times.
then I registered fingerprints with guard on. The result was bit better but nowhere great.
the trick is to keep the finger and not press hard for 1 sec. they say it will take ~1s to unlock, which is much more than OnePlus. but the technology here is different and Samsung claims its the best!

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

Please perform the below mentioned steps to resolve the issue:

1) The device may not recognize fingerprints that are affected by wrinkles, small or thin fingers.

2) To improve recognition performance, register fingerprints of the hand used most often to perform tasks on the device.

For further assistance, register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback > Error report/Ask questions).

Thank you for writing to Samsung.

Warm Regards,
