The fingerprint option not being available on your Samsung S23 FE can be frustrating.

*Common Causes:*

1. Software glitches
2. Fingerprint sensor calibration issues
3. Screen protector or case interference
4. Moisture or dirt on the fingerprint sensor
5. Android or Samsung updates

*Troubleshooting Steps:*

1. Restart your phone.
2. Ensure your fingers are clean and dry.
3. Remove any screen protectors or cases.
4. Clean the fingerprint sensor area.
5. Register your fingerprints again (Settings > Biometric and security > Fingerprints).
6. Update your phone's software (Settings > Software update > Download and install).
7. Reset fingerprint data (Settings > Biometric and security > Fingerprints > Reset fingerprint data).
8. Perform a soft reset (press and hold Power + Volume down buttons).

*Advanced Troubleshooting:*

1. Boot your phone in Safe Mode.
2. Clear cache partition (recovery mode).
3. Reset phone settings (Settings > General management > Reset).

*Samsung Support:*

1. Visit Samsung's official website for support.
2. Contact Samsung customer service.
3. Visit a Samsung authorized service center.

*Additional Tips:*

1. Ensure your phone's screen is properly calibrated.
2. Use the fingerprint sensor in a well-lit environment.
3. Avoid using the fingerprint sensor with wet or sweaty fingers.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there's a hardware problem.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we would request you to kindly perform the following steps to resolve your issues.

●Kindly remove the current fingerprint and set up the fingerprint again. When you touch the sensor to set up a fingerprint, make sure you set the entire fingerprint, including the outer area of your fingertip. Setting the entire fingerprint area enables successful fingerprint recognition with any grip.

●Please follow the below steps to remove the Fingerprint:
Path: Settings> Biometrics and Security> Fingerprints> Fingerprint1> Remove> Remove again to confirm.

●Please follow the below steps to set the Fingerprint:
Path: Settings> Biometrics and Security> Fingerprints> Add Fingerprint> Scan your fingerprint>Place your finger on the sensor, then lift it off when you feel a vibration> Continue> Reposition your finger each time to capture the edge of your fingerprint> Done > Fingerprint added successfully.

●Update the software if available: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-smartphone-how-to-update-software/

●Reset your device: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-mobile-how-to-perform-a-factory-res...

Also, if u have kept "wake up" gestures on when u lift up the phone and lock screen comes up then in pocket it might get activated many times and keys may get pressed, disabling the fp scanner.
