Yesterday, I updated my S22 Ultra to One UI 8 (Android 16), and today the fingerprint sensor stopped working.
Last time, when I updated to One UI 7, a white strip issue appeared on the screen.
My phone is over three years old, and when I visited Samsung Care, they told me that the screen replacement facility is available only for phones less than three years old.
My concern is that every time I update the phone, a new issue arises, and Samsung Care doesn’t provide proper support.
It feels like Samsung is playing with customers and forcing them to buy new phones.

Does that strip runs through fingerprint sensor area ? If yes then it might be the reason as fingerprint sensor on s22 series is optical not ultrasonic one if i am not wrong

white shown on left side of selfie camera.
But fingerprint sensor was working before update the phone. I can't understand what is happening here.
After One UI 7 upgrade white strip issue raised.
After One UI 8 upgrade fingerprint is disabled.
