Feature Request - Blur Home Screen Wallpaper

Can we please get a simple option to blur our home screen wallpapers, just like in the iphone?

It'll also be great if the unlock transition from the clear lock screen wallpaper to the blurred home screen wallpaper is smooth and fading rather than just a sudden change like it happens now.

Yeah, you can blur the wallpaper using a 3rd party app but can't add the fade in transition
