Fast charging not working/ switching to normal charging

When i plug in my s23 ultra to charge for a brief 1 or 2 second fast charging option will be displayed and then normal charging starts. This issue has been since the second or third update of one ui 7 and in every update while hoping to get fixed this issue still prevails. Previously even though frustrated i used to plug unplug plug unplug the charging cable until the fast charging is used. updated to one ui 8 stable build this issue is still there and im frustrated.

Before giving advise please note that i have already tried most of the things like inspecting the charger turning off fast charging then switching off device and again turning it back on wiping cache partition. 

Instead of just spamming the so called fix for every issue please provide a real one. Im sure im not the only one thats been dealing with this software bug.

Check your charger with any other phone. If there it supports fast charging, the fault is in the handset.

No issue in the device will try with new charger

Check if fast charging is disabled in settings and also disable adaptive settings under battery. Check and let us know

Did you try with a different fast charger?

To share the log file: Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on send feedback> Choose Composer> Select error report> Select the appropriate issue category> Type your query and send.

Note: To ensure relevant log information is included in the error report, submit the report within 3 minutes of encountering the bug or error, and do not terminate (swipe away) the Samsung Members application until you are notified that the report has been sent. This can take up to 5 minutes.

  • I have same problem after upgrading my s24 ultra to Ui  8. Type C port not working properly, wired headphones can't be recognised, fast charging stops in seconds and switch to normal charge, also can't be charged when the phone is turned off. How can I report it Samsung developers?
