Do not enroll for this update. You'll get locked out with a pin or pattern. Your current pin/pattern wouldn't work. Factory reset being the only option, but you won't be able to set a pin/pattern after resetting the phone, therefore it's no use resetting it either.

To Samsung, release a patch that wipes out the pin/pattern, which could be copied to and installed through SD card via recovery. I have over 300GBs of data on my phone and many of us do. Even if it is a BETA software, this isn't expected from a big brand like you, don't you have any internal ALPHA Builds so that at least we don't get abnormal bricks like these? Releasing the Android 10 update such late in comparison to the competition and that too with bugs like these. You should learn from OnePlus'/Nokia's update pattern. We're all waiting for you, SAMSUNG. Reply ASAP.

No one would be willing to factory reset their phone.

And, to EXPERT MEMBERS out there, don't try to give advices like, "You shouldn't have installed the beta software when you were aware that there could be bugs."

Thanks,
Ashish V.

FIX :

S10+

S10

S10E

Links to the fingerprint fix update. Put this file inside the SD card and name it update.zip, through any medium (card reader or any other phone) then insert it on your S10 (link provided for every model) and go to recovery mode of your phone. To get into recovery mode, switch off your phone. Press volume down+bixby key+power key and keep holding the volume down and bixby key. You'll get into the recovery. Go down to install update.zip from SD card and select the file. Let it update. Your old pattern/pin will start working. For S10e and S10, please find the links on xda Samsung S10 series forum. This is for people who can't access their phone.

After every reset of the device, the device definetly will ask you for PIN to unlock the device because its the security policy and Even we have to add the same google account for security reasons .Try to enter the old PIN which you have used before resetting the device
