ESIM support for S20 FE 5G

I recently came to know that S20FE 5G hardware supports esim feature, though it must be enabled by firmware update. So when is Samsung going to roll out the update for this device

Within few days Indian Teleco companies will start rolling 5G, so I am assuming, by that time Samsung will roll out 5G

Edit : After thoroughly reseraching I came to know that there is no support for ESIM on S20FE normal as well as 5G version

No S20 FE or 5G both esim features are restricted by samsung so nothing can be done by software update.

eSIM is supported by Snapdragon 865 and so by the S20 FE5G, but Samsung doesn't want the FE series to be too feature rich. I don't think they'll ever enable it. A friend bought the S21 FE5G. That too doesn't have eSIM support.

This is so ludicrous Samsung! I bought the S20 FE 5G model specifically for this feature, after seeing eSIM advertisement capability for "S20".

I chose the FE 5G from the S20 family,  cause of larger screen & 5G. 

How would I suspect that this member of the family would lack such an important feature?

I just found out and I feel so cheated.  Especially knowing its just a bloody firmware flag somewhere that can be fixed with an update!

Shame on you samsung, next time you sell inferior models,  at least CHANGE the name of model entirely.  Say its Sx20, not S20 with something following!

Actually they have used "FE" to distinguish others premium category phones from this sub-premium phones, well it's definitely a disgrace that Samsung can enable it but they won't as esim a premium feature and providing it in lower end phones will affect their flagship premium phone sales

I also bought S20FE5G thinking that it is an extension of the Samsung S20 family. My network provider's customer care claims that my phone is capable of enabling an eSIM but on seeing the IMEI information there is no EID number for eSIM. I would appreciate if Samsung Customer Care could enable this feature through the next software update. I tried very hard to get the 256 GB Rom phone but couldn't find it. I plan to use a 512 GB microSD card and need to use another SIM while I travel. So I request Samsung Customer Care to enable eSIM feature through software update for the sake of Indian customers as well as to preserve the enormous goodwill Samsung enjoys in India...
