Samsung claims to provide seven years of software updates, but it seems unrealistic. I own an S22 Ultra and have noticed that many features from the S24 were not made available for my model. Basic features like voice focus and 2x in portrait mode, which were highly requested by users, are still missing. I am considering upgrading to the S25 Ultra, but I am hesitant because I am concerned that major feature updates will not be provided after three years. Samsung used to be a leader in software updates, but it appears that Chinese brands are now surpassing them in this aspect.

It is true, after just 2-3 years they will reduce your update frequency and then features.
It's just business and better than having nothing I guess. And god saves you if your device suddenly stucks in the boot loop (like I had), samsung will charge you a minimum of 8k to 10k for repair. Best of luck.
