Samsung has promised 7years of software and security updates for its S25 series . Does it make sense and would people use one phone for 7 years ?
From hardware standpoint S25 has all good stuff barring a battery and some camera enhancements that one would have expected to come this time . Given the powerful chipset and 12GB Ram the device would hold up well for a few years and may perform reasonably well . However will it still be a snappy and fast phone for 7 years ? We have seen Apple pull it off with ease but can Samsung also do it ? Probably only time would tell .

Samsung Galaxy S 24 series were the first amongst to receive 7 years of software updates and all Samsung users have seen the reality. The updates are coming delayed. If newly launched lower end and mid range Samsung devices are running smoothly with One UI 7,what's the problem with high end S24 series ? Samsung is skipping regular updates in the name of 7 years software updates. I scare how Samsung will keep the promises of 7 years of regular updates ? Just invest and forget about softwares,it all depends on Samsung. We are not investing only for hardwares.

Indeed S24 was promised 7 years update and Samsung should have prioritized the oneui7 rollout to atleast for S24 . One advantage S25 has is the additional 4 gb Ram across all variants . Its a raw deal for sure and Samsung should be ashamed of this

There are very few people who keep their phones for this long.
By the time 7 years have passed, there will be new technologies in smartphones; these latest flagships will be used only for calls if the battery remains good.
5 years is sufficient in this context to keep a healthy device with its efficiency within.
These are just some tricky words to lure people into their devices.

Samsung Dig there own hole by promising 7 years updates , now to overcome this they are intentionally delaying major updates to limit to 4 major updates ,with this now they are loosing brand reputation and lossing there customers base.
