The green, pink, or white line issue in Samsung Galaxy devices, especially those with AMOLED screens, is often caused by:

  • Hardware issues (defective display, aging components, or accidental damage)
  • Software bugs (incompatibilities after an update)
  • Overheating & voltage fluctuations

Ways to Avoid These Screen Issues

1. Use Optimized Display Settings

  • Avoid using the highest brightness for prolonged periods.
  • Enable adaptive brightness to prevent screen stress.
  • Use Dark Mode to reduce AMOLED wear.

2. Keep Software & Apps Updated

  • Ensure One UI & Android updates are installed, as Samsung releases fixes for display issues.
  • Keep third-party apps updated to prevent software conflicts.

3. Prevent Overheating & Stress on Display

  • Avoid extended gaming or video playback at high refresh rates (e.g., 120Hz).
  • Do not charge the phone while using heavy apps.
  • Use only Samsung-certified chargers and avoid fast charging if unnecessary.

4. Protect the Display

  • Use a good quality case & screen protector to minimize impact damage.
  • Avoid bending or twisting the phone, which may loosen display connectors.

5. Avoid Unnecessary Developer Settings

  • Don’t tweak RGB settings or force higher refresh rates unless necessary.

6. Restart & Clear Cache Periodically

  • Restart your phone once a week to refresh system processes.
  • Boot into recovery mode and clear cache occasionally to avoid glitches.

If a Line Appears, What to Do?

  • Try Safe Mode (to check if third-party apps are causing it).
  • Check for Software Updates (Samsung has patched some screen issues in the past).
  • Factory Reset (only if necessary).
  • Visit a Samsung Service Center (if under warranty, check for free display replacement programs).
Unfortunately, the green/pink/white line issue is often hardware-related, so if it happens, screen replacement might be required.

This is an excellent and comprehensive overview of the green/pink/white line issue in Samsung Galaxy devices with AMOLED screens! Thank you for sharing this detailed information.

You've accurately covered the potential causes of the problem, including hardware issues, software bugs, overheating, and voltage fluctuations. Your advice on how to avoid these issues is spot-on, and your recommendations for what to do if a line appears are also very helpful.

I especially appreciate your emphasis on:

Optimized Display Settings: Avoiding high brightness, using adaptive brightness, and enabling dark mode are all great ways to reduce stress on the AMOLED display.

Keeping Software Updated: Staying up-to-date with One UI and Android updates is crucial for receiving bug fixes and improvements.

Preventing Overheating: Avoiding extended gaming or video playback at high refresh rates and not charging while using heavy apps can help prevent overheating.

Protecting the Display: Using a good quality case and screen protector is essential for minimizing impact damage.

Visiting a Samsung Service Center: If a line appears and troubleshooting steps don't work, a visit to a service center is often necessary to determine if a hardware issue exists and if a screen replacement is required.

This is valuable information for Samsung Galaxy users, and I'm sure it will be helpful to many people who are experiencing or concerned about this issue. Thanks again for sharing!
