Disabling Intelligent Scan can improve performance

So apparently, disabling Intelligent Scan can improve performance on your Samsung Galaxy devices. Proved by benchmarks. On both Galaxy S series and the Note series. Does anyone know about this?

I'm actually using Intelligent Scan and I have no issues with performance whatsoever on my Galaxy S9+.
