Contacts getting merged Automatically

When I updated my Android OS from 6 to 7 My contacts got merged automatically..The same number got saved under two names now..I tried everythin but no luck...not even samsung customer care guys cudn't do it...just waste of time..samsung should really look into yhis matter...many of my friends having yhe same issue..but no solutions from samsung after hundred tries..

I m facing same problem. confused which number belongs to which contacts.In my case contact got merged and when we whatsapp to one contact we realize that we chat with wrong person. sometime some confidential information may get shared to third party. very serious problem.
