Concern about green line issue during software updates

Hello everyone,
I own a Samsung Galaxy S23, and I currently have a pending software update showing in the update page. However, I am honestly hesitant to install it because of the widespread reports about the green line issue that appears after updates, often linked to heating during installation.

My main concerns are:
1. Is the heating during updates really the cause of the green lines on Samsung devices, especially on the S23 series?
2. I was wondering, would placing the phone in a very cool environment (like near an AC vent or in a fridge briefly before/during the update) reduce the risk of overheating and therefore lower the chances of green lines appearing?
3. If a device already had its display replaced due to the green line issue, how likely is it for the green lines to come back after another update?

I would really appreciate insights from other users who faced similar issues, and if any Samsung moderators can clarify the real cause behind this problem. I don’t want to skip critical updates, but at the same time, I’m very anxious about damaging my screen again.

Lot of Green line problem in s23 mobile display after software update it is very difficult to get free replacement from Samsung. Update in your own risk
