I have a question regarding charging times for my s24 ultra series phone. I recently switched from a 45W charger to a 25W charger and have noticed a significant difference in charging speed. The 25W charger is taking considerably longer to fully charge the phone, and I would like to know the expected charging time for a 25W charger.

Currently, the phone's display indicates a charging time of 1 hour and 15 minutes, but in reality, it takes approximately 1.5 hours to charge fully. This is a significant difference compared to the 45W charger, which only took 1 hour and 6 minutes. I would like to know if this difference is normal or if there may be an issue with the charger.

In my s24 ultra it takes around 1hr 15minutes to 20minutes with 25w charger.
And with 45w charger it reduces to 1hr 05minutes to 1h 15minutes depending on the room temperature, which in my case fluctuates around 30-35°C till 5pm and reduces to 25-28°C after 5pm till morning.

To be frank it is perfectly normal if your room temperature is high like mine.
But would suggest you to not put your phone on charging for long time if room temperature is above 32°C as it affect battery and charging time significantly.

So its normal to have 1hr 25m wait to fully charge though it's quite a long time but if it's normal and much safer option then we have to compromise a little of time hmm no issue and thanks

Actually both 45 watt and 25 watt charger is as safe as the other.
The 45 watt charger for first few minutes charges on 45w then decrease the charging wattage to 25w till 70 then even lower like 5 to 10w.
The same is somewhat same with 25w charger, it will charge between 18-25w for 0 to 70 percent then drop to the same wattage as 45w charger in last 30 percent.
The following reading are not same for every device of same model because it depends on the temperature, but as an example you can understand with that how both works.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your query, we want to inform you that It's the Normal phenomenon of the devices, when you use the 45 watt charging adpator with your device it will take less time to fully charger as compare the 25 watt charger. The use of lower wattage chargers for your phone. And using a charger with a lower wattage won’t harm your device's battery at all. While it might take a bit longer to fully charge, rest assured that it's completely safe.

However, It’s also important to note that even when you’re using chargers rated at 25W or 45W, the actual wattage delivered to the battery reduces as it reaches higher levels of charge. This feature is built-in to protect the health and longevity of the battery, ensuring that you get the most out of your device over time.

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
