Can't watch fullhd and hdr videos on netflix on my galaxy s20 fe 5g although its dispay resolution is 1080×2400 and having widevine L1 support. I can see only hd videos only for that i even contacted customer support but they advised me to raise a request on samsung member app only. I can see number of discussions and requests regarding this issue on samsung forums and samsung members also but no resolution from samsung end. S20 fe 5g is a premium phone and it looks wierd to watch just hd videos on it. Contacted netflix and they said that the compatibility issue is from samsung end they cant help in this issue as this can taken care by samsung developers team itself. Attaching netflix streaming screenshots along with s20 supporting resolution from netflix with drm info widevine L1 support screenshot along with this.

Which netflix plan you use? Basic one?

It's nothing to do with device compatability or Samsung. Netflix simply wants royalty money from OEMs to white listing their devices for HDR streaming.

If we can watch HDR videos on youtube out of the box then why not with netflix, unless they are blocking devices deliberately for HDR streaming.

That is not our issue right? It has to be in between samsung and netflix. Samsung has to sort out by contacting with netflix i guess.

It's between every other brands with Netflix. Netflix should open admit which ever devices supported for HDR by them before taking our subscription money.
