Cannot set whatsapp profile photo from gallery app

So i own a s22 and since day 1 i have not seen the option to update my WhatsApp profile photo from the samsung gallery app. I always have to use google photos to do so, which is not easy for me.

If anybody has solutions please help me with it

go to WhatsApp-settings - click on your dp and press that ✏️ icon and choose photo from your gallery.

You can select your desirable photo as profile pic from whatsapp settings > tap on your dp> tap on the camera like icon right to your dp > tap on Gallery then

And select the image
