Camera Degradation after Software Update

Hey Guys,

After using Samsung phones for years, I have come across something which is now seem to be confirmed.

My brother (uses S10+) was the first person to alert me that with every update the quality of the Camera is getting worse in Samsung. Initially I laughed at him. But now a friend of mine who uses S9, said the same thing. Then I checked with someone who is using S8 and the camera quality has gone worse. Finally did a lot of comparison with my phone' (S10) photographs of 1 year old now and I can see there is difference.

Now I can confirm and feeling very very sad that Samsung is doing such things with their fanbase. All the phones I'm talking about are flagships phones and I have spent a fortune for those and this is such a letdown by Samsung.

Do you also feel so, kindly share your experience and let's see if we can get together and raise this question at bigger and other forums too.

Planned obsolescence is illegal in many countries in EU and US. As long as you guys keep writing those in forums and don't report it to local authorities no change will ever happen. Not to Samsung's policy but to all smartphone manufacture companies.

Same thing happened with my note 20 ultra  they are intentionally ruining camera quality so u will buy the newer  version.

From my experience using Samsung Note 4 as my daily driver I upgraded to a Galaxy S10. My note 4 still outputs the same picture quality the day i bought it but I cannot say the same for the s10. Picture quality degraded so bad i cannot believe i am writing this comment here. I always praised Samsung for their technology innovation but they got in line with apples policy. Pushing software updates making then harder to downgrade limiting functionality and usability of their phones.  I am afraid to update my phone now i got the October 1 security patch that says camera stability improvements in update sized at 1 gb. They ruined their whole camera and makes me feel my phone is trash now.

I completely agree with you! I bought the S22+ in 2023, and the camera quality was amazing! Night mode was even better than the iPhone. I used to brag about it and make fun of iPhone users, lol. 😂

But with the recent One UI 6.1 update, Samsung has completely ruined the camera on this phone. 😡 I also had the Samsung S10, which was my first flagship phone, and the same thing happened. The camera quality got worse with updates, but I couldn't believe it and blamed myself for not taking care of the phone properly.

But this time, it's clear that Samsung is intentionally cheating its customers. 🤬 I'm never buying a Samsung phone again, and I'll do everything I can to discourage others from buying them too. I'm going to go to their brand outlets and warn people not to make the same mistake I did.

Samsung, you've really messed up this time. I hope someone from your top management reads this comment and takes action. #BoycottSamsung #BanBuyingSamsungFlagships

This is completely true, after the release of Samsung S24 FE, S23FE camera quality is reduced.
