Camera Degradation after Software Update

Hey Guys,

After using Samsung phones for years, I have come across something which is now seem to be confirmed.

My brother (uses S10+) was the first person to alert me that with every update the quality of the Camera is getting worse in Samsung. Initially I laughed at him. But now a friend of mine who uses S9, said the same thing. Then I checked with someone who is using S8 and the camera quality has gone worse. Finally did a lot of comparison with my phone' (S10) photographs of 1 year old now and I can see there is difference.

Now I can confirm and feeling very very sad that Samsung is doing such things with their fanbase. All the phones I'm talking about are flagships phones and I have spent a fortune for those and this is such a letdown by Samsung.

Do you also feel so, kindly share your experience and let's see if we can get together and raise this question at bigger and other forums too.

I am using Samsung J7 Pro. When I first purchased the phone in the year 2018 or 2019, I was really impressed by its camera quality. Now, the quality of camera has really degraded. It is because of the reason I have shifted my interest to Vivo phones. I do not want to be a customer of Samsung world anymore.

I have an S9 and when I bought it, the camera was taking photos instantly. Now it's got a mild but annoying delay from when i press the button to when the photo is taken. Just like the old, cheap phones. Plus, the quality of the picture is visibly changed. So disappointing as I don't want to buy new phones every year. It costs too much for a phone to be properly used just for such a short amount of time. I feel tricked and i really hope someone would to something for this big companies to stop fooling us.

Yes, i have suspected the same first from A7 then after several update it makes the phone useless, then now with my s9plus. A52 5G camera becomes sharper and prettier which make me want to swap my phone with my husband.. they do that I think so that ppl would do upgrade their  phone to newest samsung model.. Sony isnt like tha though...

This has occured on my S10e. It used to take fantastic low and flat light pics and now they are very poor quality

Yes...now its a known thing...This happened with my S3...Everyone knows that this happens.. That's how they force you to buy new phones...

I come here after Google this topic. I was happy with my Note 10 camera 2 years ago  and now I feel like using a cheap camera phone. I suspected Samsung purposely want us to upgrade phone by degrading our camera. Too obvious.

I had this issue with my S3 and S8 and now with my S20 ultra!!!!

Shame on Samsung to missuse our customer loyalty to Samsung.

Will defenitely buy another brand next time unless they fix this issue

Yes very TRUE, I bought A73 series one month back and camera pixels clarity went down . When I went to ask service center they were telling its because of software update and we can't do anything apart from this.....service centers location is thoraipakam Chennai and Phoenix Chennai....these kind of service centers ruining samsung brand name I have got fooled by samsung ...and bought mobile after seeing 108M camera and now that's only **bleep** .
