Hiya doesn't have huge database like competitive apps. So there is nothing we as a user can do for the same.

You could enroll yourself in national do not call register india, afterwards no spam calls should be done to your number.
Now various carrier providers like BSNL and Airtel are implementing MI/AI spam detection systems as well.

Since OneUI5. The features are there but they're non functional. I've written so many posts about them. Prior to OneUI5, "Block unknown caller" and "Block message by PHRASE" used to work like charm.
But since OneUI5, they're physically present but functionally absent. 😂

Dear Samsung member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we'd like to inform you that the Smart Call function lets you know who's calling even when the number isn't on your contact list. When it's spam, you can easily block the call, and then take action by reporting it.

Steps To Use Smart Call
1. Navigate to and open the Phone app, tap More options (the three vertical dots), and then tap Settings.
2. Tap Caller ID and spam protection, and then tap the switch to turn it on.
3. When your phone rings, the Block/Report number option will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap this option during or after the call if you do not want to be contacted by that caller again.

Tap Block number to add the number to your blocked call list.
Tap Report Number if you feel the call is fraudulent, and then select a category, such as General Spam, Scam or Fraud, or Telemarketer. You can also include a comment when you report the number. Tap Report when you’re finished.

In case the issue still occurs, kindly report the problems with a log file. To share a log file, click on the Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on error report > Type your query > Send).

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
