Bug in AOD(Always on Display)

There seems to be a Bug in AOD for quite sometime(pie update) and it's not been fixed till now. AOD when set to "Show always" doesn't turn off while phone is faced down or is in pocket. Causes a lot of useless battery drain. This is a known issue for S10 series but it is also happening on S9 and my buddy's Note 9. 

Any other devices with AOD also having the same issue?

That's one of the feature of AOD i. e always show,

You can change it to: Tap to show.

I'm not talking about Tap to show. before pie update, when set to show always, AOD will turn off while the phone was in pocket or was facing down to save power. if not the it would Always show the AOD. after the pie update, it's not working and causing battery drain. I'm taking about bug in feature and not about Tap to show or even scheduled AOD.

i.e. why would you want AOD to display when Phone is facing down or when it is in your pocket. that is just wasting your Battery

That's right,your point is appreciable, but you only wrote that AOD gt a bug, that's y i wrote go for tap to show.

same happening with Galaxy A71... AOD doesn't turn off while phone is in pocket.

In my M32 I do turn off in setting and it's also consume battery 🔋 😒 but I never feel any bugs 🐛 yet
