I purchased s22 ultra 4 days back replacing my s9+. But I am experiencing very bad battery life on this new s22 ultra. I could not pass a whole day without charging the phone and I got highest screen on time of approx 4hrs 30 min max.

Shouldn't this device last for at least 6hts SOT ??

Even the battery drops almost 15-20% overnight without any usage!!

Any suggestions or solutions will be highly appreciated.

NB: I have done the steps described in various YouTube videos to save battery.

Wait for about two weeks for optimization to kick in. Also do not setup the phone using smart switch.

After the May update, I'm easily getting a day's use with 6 hrs SOT, and 8+ hrs SOT if I watch videos

For some it's been the opposite, for me it's slightly better. But you should give some more days to optimize

Possible. For me it's improved. I can easily go 24hrs on 4G with 5 hrs SOT.

Try this- Run any video app for an hour and see how much battery it's consuming. If it's 10% or less, then a 9-10 Hrs SOT is easily possible. Web browsing will not give you high SOT. Also camera & GPS consumes a lot of battery. I have my GW3 connected at all times, which is known to consume battery, and i still get 24hrs on 4G.

Again you need to consider the standby drain as well. Samsung phones even after debloating sometimes consume 1%/hr battery.

Download GSAM and give adb permission to check for any battery draining apps in details

Yes, but reset the phone and don't use smart switch again for setting it up

It's normal for new phones to show this behaviour as it is learning ur usage patterns during that time. No need to shut down many features off for which u bought the phone. Also when you use camera for video recording, data for streaming it can get heated up within limits.

Also try reading my post about tips for One UI 4/4.1 n follow those 1 &3 steps, it might help ur device to quickly optimise apps n battery life.
