Galaxy SFew days ago I saw that some contacs are deleted from my phone. I navigated to contacts recycle bin. I found bunch of contacts in trash which i never deleted. Again after 2 days i opened recycle bin and found some more contacts deleted.
My contacts are getting deleted on their own. Is there a software bug or what? Did anyone else have this issue.
Please check your contacts trash too.

Galaxy SI have this issue too. Contacts being deleted frequently. When i login to google contacts on my laptop and go to the recycle bin my deleted contacts are there, under the deleted by column it reports that my phone has deleted them! I restore the contacts and a few days later the contacts are randomly deleted again! I have had this issue for a long time now on all of my samsung phones - other android phone do not do this, so this has to be a software bug samsungs end. Samsung support is beyond useless as many of you have already said!! I love samsung products but their support is the absolute worst in the business!! We really need to keep this thread going as this clearly is effecting a lot of people - hopefully samsung will take note of these issues/complaints and fix the sync/software bug. It's beyond frustrating!

Galaxy SDear Samsung member,
Greetings from Samsung customer support.
We acknowledge your query and apologize for the inconvenience caused to you and will surely assist you regarding the same and please follow the easy troubleshooting steps which might help to solve the issue.
We would like to inform you that please check if you have synced your data with your Gmail or Samsung account then you may retrieve your data. (Go to settings>>Accounts & backup>>Backup & restore>>Restore data)
Check the recyle-bin of your smartphone: Menu>>apps>>phone icon>>three vertical dots>>settings>>recycle-bin>>deleted contacts.
However, if data has been lost accidentally and you have not taken any backup then there is no way to retrieve your data. For the future we recommend you to take back up in the phone.
Install Smart Switch App from Samsung galaxy Store:
Data backup process via 'Smart Switch Mobile App'>Open Smart Switch App >Click on Memory Card Icon >Backup option >Choose the data for Backup >Backup.
Import contacts:
App's screen>>contactS>>More (three dots)>>manage contacts>>import/export contacts>>import>>SIM card>>Select contacts, for this example tap on all>>done>>google account>>"Import".
Your contacts will be saved to your google account and saved to your phone the next time google is synced.
In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback > Error report).
Thank you for writing to us.
Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support.

Galaxy SI too had that problem. I found out it's the dual messenger that is messing up. Remove and clear all settings for dual messenger and problem is gone.
Settings -> Advanced features -> Dual Messenger -> (Three dots at the top right corner) -> Delete all my data
