App updates won't show on playstore until the app is opened after long time

There have been a bunch of apps installed on my phone that I don't use often. I check for app updates on play store and it says no new updates.
I open the app that has been days since last use and suddenly the update for the app appears on playstore.
Can someone confirm the similar behavior and suggest a fix and the cause for this issue!

It's because of device care's background usage limits. It puts apps on sleep mode if not used regularly. Thus interfering on the scan and update suggestion for active apps on google play store.

That makes sense. But shouldn't it be allowing updates on the apps that are put to deepsleep? Lets assume I didn't use Gpay for a while amd when I open it after long enough it will force me to install update before using it. Might not be a practical case but possible distraction. Any workaround for this?

I understand that they should allow some security related and utility apps to update in background. But the whole purpose of putting apps to sleep is to pervent from running in background and cache. Thus saving battery and bosting performance. Like if you use apps daily or in interval of 2/3 days is supposed to be an active app if not it is passive app which is not necessary of be prioritize.

Thats from many years on android.Only way is to not put that app on deep sleep..

I don't think so. I had s21ultra for over 2yrs and s23ultra for over 6 months. Didn't encounter that until last couple of updates. May be the deep sleep state implementation was made agressive lately.
