I recently got my S21 FE and there was an update for OneUI 4.1. Once I installed that update, I've been getting this notification that says app update paused and it keeps popping up every few seconds and it's really annoying when using my phone.

I can't turn off the updates notification and clicking wait for Wifi or use data doesn't do anything at all. Additionally, I'm always connected to wifi or data so I don't know what the issue is.

I've tried the following:
1. restarting my phone
2. using different WiFi networks and using 4G
3. resetting network setting
4. setting the store network preferences to update over any network
5. cleared data and cache of the Galaxy Store
6. Reinstalling the apps and updates again.

None of these seem to work and customer service hasn't been much help either and it's a really annoying bug considering it keeps popping up every few seconds and it's not just a persistent notification.

Did anyone face this issue and did you find a solution for this? If not, what can I try?

Force Stop and Delete the data for this app 'App update'.

See if the notification pops up again.

If it does, it is a bug with that app, similar to the bug in WhatsApp where the backup pauses to wait for wifi network, even though the device is already connected to WiFi network. Also because asking it to use Mobile Data isn't working either.

I know. Delete the data for that app.

If it still keeps notifying for an update, use a firewall like Netguard to block internet access to this app and then delete it's data.

What happens when you select either of those 2 options provided in that notification.
Also, you can do a work around by clicking on the notification settings and denying notification permission for this service.

Nothing happens when I click on either of the actions. I tried turning off notification permission for "App Update" but it doesn't allow me to turn it off either

Oh, that's tricky! Try the steps proposed by Sidhabhi and let us know.

Once turn off all like wifi/mobile data

And restart your device>now connect your device to mobile data(don't use wifi) and try..

If still problem persists once perform normal phone reset settings

Settings>general management>select reset>click on reset settings

Both these suggestions don't seem to work either. As soon as I turn on data or wifi, the notification appears again

No, what I said, try to update these apps on mobile data and don't turn on wifi

Yes I did do just that using only mobile data. There is no update for either of the two apps mentioned on Galaxy Store. It says they are up to date. Clicking on use data also doesn't do anything

I thought of that too but "App Update" doesn't seem to exist as an application in the settings to do that.Screenshot_20220530-102728_Settings.jpg
