App lock feature

I recently migrated to Samsung and have found that it does not have a very simple feature known as 'APP Lock' which is available in almost all the brand phones. I know there is an option to tackle this via Secure Folder but it isn't essentially akin to App lock as then you would have to create a new app and profile for this. 

I also tried many external applications to solve this problem but seems like they all are quite buggy which is expected given that they are third party applications. 

Does anyone has good explanation for why Samsung doesn't offer App Lock and if they have any plans to introduce this in near future

Right from beginning samsung doesn't provide native app lock which is available in rest of the chinese manufacturer. Samsung knox is the only solution. Last year samsung bought multi user in one beta build and then later they removed that too... So only secure folder os the only way.

There was s secure in the beginning with app lock inbuilt but later samsung removed it

There was S Secure in the beginning, which was an Applock app... But after around OneUi 4, Samsung stopped the support for S Secure... Encouraging users to use Secure Folder (some low budget devices don't have this also 😑)...
