Galaxy S
S23 ultra also don't have app lock, it has secure folder but that creates a duplicate copy of the app,
I want single copy and on home screen only,
For that we need Samsung inbuilt app lock ,

Install apps you need to lock only inside secure folder and uninstall from outside it.
After, that open the secure folder and click and hold on the app icon. Then select "add to home". Now the app will be available on your home screen(outside the secure folder).
Now you have only a single copy and the apps are available on the home screen, and you have much better protection than any gimmicky app lock.
Yes, there are some limitations, like some default apps like gallery will have a copy but I prefer the security of secure folder over the minor inconvenience.
But hey, they can always give an app lock for people who want it for convenience.
