Galaxy S
Recently bought s23 ultra. Moved from redmi to samsung.
I'm always very curious about the privacy features in phones
1. Allow media permisions - its a feature which i always wanted. Why allow apps access to all photos and media. Just select few which are really required. Thanks to Samsung for this ❤️
2. Notifications customizations - category wise block options. Just allow few categories and block the other marketing and promotional notifications. Was available in redmi as well. Loving it here as well.
3. Secure folder - Redmi had some other similar options. Here it's secure folder. Good feature.
4. AI tools netwrok access :
Concerned about privacy, i should be able to customize which ai processing i can use offline or online. Samsung allowed my to customize to use ai features in my device only(only some features)
It it atleast asks for me to allow internet access in case it needs to process something online which i simply deny.
Some more i was expecting but either not available or im yet to discover them like:
1. Setting individual app lock. Its there in redmi but couldn't find here. Sad.
If i give my unlocked phone to someone, they can open any apps 😮💨😮💨
2. Restricting app network allow :
In Redmi i could disable full network access to any app. But here i can restrict only mobile data access. Wifi is always allowed.
I preferred blocking full internet access(wifi plus mobile data) for some apps which I would use offline for privacy reasons.
3. No intenet access to new installed apps
In redmi i couls customize the settings so whenever i install a new app, by default its network access was restricted. I could simply allow tye access from notification anytime.
Was useful in case I'm trying a new app which im not sure what data they are uploading.
............
Ill add few more on usage.
