Today I face something new..I modified one Contact having Two mobile Numbers by going to contacts then Edit option and deleted one number since that number is no longer with that Person and again saved that contact details with all other parameters remains same...But when again I show that contact it is visible with both mobile Numbers and hence again tried modifying the same by deleting that no. again but this time also when I have seen after saving through Contacts it is visible with both the Numbers..I shocked what is happening..So, I tried something more, I find Airtel logo is visible against that specific Number then gone to Add/Remove Contact link by pressing three dots and remove Airtel link and then tried saving that number by deleting one contact number from it and this time I got succeeded..Now then I did some more Experiments, I seen many Contacts with Same Mobile Number reflecting for whatapp almost thrice with otgers, So again I went to three dots and then to "Add/Remove Contact Link" where same number not showing with WhatsApp rather it showing Two-Three time saved to same Gmail contact..What is this ?? I am not getting ???

I don't understand the logic...On one slide same number showing thrice with Whatsapp logo and in other slide same number thrice with same Gmail I'd and single time with WhatsApp only...What is this ?? Any logic???

as for WhatsApp it is showing three different times because each one does a different thing. one is for call, one is for video call(face to face), and third one is for text message.

that I also aware Bro..three times because for message/Voice call/ Video call etc.. but then in linked contact details once for WhatsApp.., ok Common for all,.. agree, ..why then thrice with same Gmail I'd for same Number ?? Why??

You Can Merge Duplicate Numbers Or Delete Them

It does not Seems the case of Merging..Since all Numbers having WhatsApp tag or Airtel tag are showing saved thrice on same Gmail account and this logic is beyond my reach... If that would have been the case of Merging of Duplicate Numbers then that would have happened with Few or all, Since from many year I used to save Contact details on my default Gmail id, Not sure but I think from 2009 or 2010 onwards. And rarely I would have shared any Contact twice (Once on Gmail or next on SIM)..but as per these slides same number thrice on Gmail I'd means once for Gmail and others two would been merged twice from other sources.. Strange and not possible for this much of Contacts almost 70-80%...And Next question how can I delete two links out of three from these Gmail linked contacts ?? without knowing which one is for what and which one should I continue out of these three, Since all are seeing same to me ???

Situation is totally different on Gmail Contacts when I go to these through Laptop→Gmail→Contacts..Here only one contact with same number showing once and second time same number with +44 extension (WhatsApp extension) for those who are enrolled same number to whatsapp also and showing two different numbers for only those contacts having stored two different numbers with same Contacts..But then in mobile why it is showing same number thrice saved to my Gmail account/Contacts while in laptop just single time only..For eg same contact when I seen on Gmail account/Contacts on laptop single entry, while on mobile it is showing linked thrice to Gmail..

Select other option in contacts to display rather than All as All means SIM,Phone,Mail(No. of mails you're using), WhatsApp and other social networks

Bro..Since I have already mentioned that I used to store all my Contacts to one of my Gmail account only from almost 2009 or 2010 onwards and nothing is there on SIM Card Except the Operators own Numbers for Ambulance, Balance info, Customer care, Caller tune etc. and Phone has one Number Samsung Helpline..So if as per your choice also if I have selected then also there shouldn't be any Duplicacy, Since none of my Number is on SIM or Phone...And if that would have been the case, even I would have got it..But here I am using only my Gmail account/Contacts to Synchronise with my Handset and selected this only...So it is not the case... Bro..you haven't got it in right way...It is not an issue of Merging or demerging...There is no duplicate contacts with same or different Name having exactly the same Number..Kindly go through my post once again...I will not go to whole story once again but in short,...When I go to "Add/Remove Linked Contacts"...Same Number showing Thrice or in some twice linked with same Gmail account, rather it is to be once only... Logic behind this ??? Bro.. About these basic things even I also aware...There is something totally different and I am going through it...Let's see if I can got it...
