as I'm facing problem with screen discoloration on my note 9 I found a temporary solution on youtube.
Turn on always on display with home button and set it on tap to show, once set whenever u want to turn ur screen on tap anywhere on the screen to unlock either by fingerprint or iris scan. This works everytime i use my phone.
