If you feel the ambient light sensor is malfunctioning, go to a service centre. Samsung has done an amazing job with auto brightness on S8, and I doubt they would mess it up in N8

• Brightness: Adjust the brightness of the display.
• Auto brightness: Set the device to keep track of your brightness adjustments and apply
them automatically in similar lighting conditions.
