Does this wipe of my phone data ?? do i need to take backup before starting this ?? have you personally done this ??

No it doesn't wipe data as it already mentioned returns to home screen after completion. I suggest taking backup of imp files etc. No, I don't have this device but from users there is no issue after doing this.

Thanks for the steps and thanks to Samsung for resolving the issue so quickly. Worked for me.

 

If it helps anyone - I had to reinstall samsung usb driver from a menu option provided in smart switch app, rest of the steps are as mentioned.

After security update sim Card is not detected tried all basic things nothing worked out. I bought mobile in india under warranty.. currently I'm in Germany. don't know how to get fix this issue
