Any way to disable pop up notifications for all apps without using do not disturb 

Or any way to hide the do not disturb icon from status bar without hiding others?

Check inside notifications>advanced settings>floating notifications

you can open the notification setting and then the app and inside that there is a option called show as popup. you can turn the toggle off to avoid popup.
