note 8: anyone using edge screen ?

while using the note 8 , I found the edge screen is of no use ..if I can open full app / app action with one tap why I unnecessarily open from side panel? there is some apps available for this but surprisingly it blurred out most of the screen and only a vertical app is usable ..
and why on the earth is that made for??
dear Samsung- increase user experience not provide some wired stuff of no real use .. we buy bigger screen for viewing apps bigger - then why tiny screen inside a big screen ? make no sense ..

I do use the edge panel quite often. It is not just for opening apps. Popup view is also very useful.

i love the edge panel. I can access to calculator without unlocking the device...and many more...its depends on personal preferences
