just reset your fingerprint once..ultrasonic fingerprint have the ability to slow down especially for screen protector..I know you have Samsung provided screen protector, thatswhy I recommend you to reset your fingerprint and try to clear cache from fingerprint activation service from app settings

best way is to register the same thumb or finger twice...it will surely help...

in my note 10 plus also the fingerprint sensor does not respond fast...sometimes it becomes irritating pressing again and again...Samsung pls do something...the battery back up is also poor ..within 1 month of purchase the time is down from 1.5 days to 3/4 day only though usage is medium...
