there will be no Android 10 for Note 8 or S8 family, as they have already received 2 major updates according to Samsung Update policy.

Actually if Note 9 can run Android 10, so can Note 8. I feel Samsung must provide Android 10 to Note 8 & S8.
If Android update is not possible, Samsung must provide One UI v2.0 atleast.
