XDA Developers Samsung’s Android Pie update scheduled for early 2019, Galaxy S9 beta is imminent Samsung Experience 10.0 is the latest version of the company’s Android UI. Many people have been waiting since August, when Android Pie was officially launched, to get their hands on the latest version of Android for their Samsung devices. Samsung has finally posted a date for when Galaxy users can expect Android Pie to roll out on their devices. In a post on the Samsung app, they teased the features of Pie along with saying that the update would be launching in early 2019. Samsung’s teaser of Pie is not really anything new. They talk about the Adaptive Battery features, which uses a custom algorithm to limit CPU usage for apps that suck up the battery in the background. Samsung even calls out the app “Panda Pop” for doing this. They also talk about the new App Slices feature. App Slices will recommend shortcuts for you based on how you use apps. During my time using Pie on the Note 9, I haven’t seen Samsung implement these yet but it could be coming in a later build. Lastly, they talk about all the new emojis. Samsung is releasing 157 new emojis. They came in Android Pie and are Unicode Emoji 11. These emojis range from mooncake to a llama. All of these are on top of the changes which we have already confirmed, like Night Theme and Scene Optimizer for the Samsung Galaxy S9 models. Samsung Experience 10 is available for Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 , and Note9 users through the leaked alpha builds. We have already done a hands-on with it on both the Galaxy S9 and Note 9, finding almost every new feature. Samsung has redesigned it with their new black with curved white cards aesthetic. The official beta program should be starting soon as well. The support page went live just a few days ago and we were told it should be launching by the end of the month, though we were not able to confirm this. Users will be able to sign up through Samsung Members or Samsung . It will be available in the US, UK, and Korea for a limited number of users. The Galaxy Note 9 will not be part of this beta program. Samsung Samsung Download QR-Code Samsung Developer: Samsung Electronics Co.
