I'm facing a peculiar issue with this feature. While turned on, I'd say, the feature is a real must have. But after a call has been initiated and I move out of wi-fi range, the call simply gets disconnected. Also, the auto call recorder doesn't record these calls, neither, does it give an option of doing it manually. Any clue anyone?

Keep both wifi and volte on..plus right now there is no facility to record wifi calls.

Once you move out of wifi range then it is possible that your call may get disconnected or a pause in call as the phone takes few seconds to connect to volte. It is normal and happens with every phone.

Thanks. So, this means, I'll have to keep VoLTE enabled always?

Yes, otherwise calls will disconnect once you are out of your wifi range
