I use Prime Video. Whenever I don't exit the app completely, and rather just go to home screen directly while playing some content, the video playback is shown in the widgets in the lock screen. This means that the app runs in background anyways, or that there is some issue with the phone in understanding whether the app is shut down or not.

The app running in the background is normal considering you just minimized the app by going to the home screen and didn't close it.

That's how it is supposed to work.

The problem is not about picture-in-picture. I am able to see a video playback widget just like what we see when we play music. For example, I am playing music and the phone's lock screen shows that being played. Similarly, the lock screen shows the video being paused. And, this happens only when I had been watching content for a long time and minimized the app. If I was not watching for a short duration, it doesn't happen.

So, it think it doesn't any issue. It's a feature of prime video application...

You don't need to worry about it... 👍
