If Apple can give regular updates for their older models, why Samsung has issues for sharing updates for their older models.. specially for S series flagship models...

for a simple reason, Apple charges too much premium on their phones. So if their update cycle is small then who's gonna buy such expensive phones. Whereas Samsung is charging less premium compared to Apple so they can ditch those customers. In fact if you want to see real picture, buy a midrange or low range phone from Samsung and see yourself literally crying for the updates. I have this experience with J7Max, it was my secondary phone to Note8. Trust me, even after a year there was no major update for it.

hi Vinay, I beg to disagree. please note that the initial charges for S Series phones and iphones are almost same. if you recall the prices of iphones 6 onwards, they were launched at prices close to 64k and same is the price point for Samsung S series as well...

first fact

Apple uses their own , self deigned and developed OS , but android based devices get it from google and google needs it from ANDROID.COM

so when android developers delivers updates that would be re developed by google than others need to work on that

meanwhile

patch and updates has some timelines and android supports limited to its time frame

so you have compared apple with oranges

thanks
